- Emily Carruth lives and paints in Utah. Her favorite subject to paint is women—portraying them in a positive light. She first fell in love with art in high school and earned her degree in Studio Arts from BYU. She spent the summer of 2007 studying art in Italy. She has also studied at the Bridge Academy and is currently attending classes at the Hein Academy. “My passion for painting drives me to spend time in my studio each day. I love the process of painting from life and strive to do so with each of my works. I portray women in a way that celebrates their strengths and individual beauties”
