Kellie is the sister of a friend and her death 3 weeks ago hit close to home. I had a hard time working through the emotions and didn't know how to talk about it so I chose to paint her. She's a beautiful and funny girl (much like my own sisters) with an incredible family. I am grateful to know that death is not the end of life.
